SIMLAB at MEDIBAT 2023 Scientific Forum 01

The Medibat fair in Sfax, Tunisia, is now in the rearview mirror. We actively participated in an expert panel during the scientific forum, where we had the privilege to delve into the application of digital twins within the construction industry, specifically exploring groundbreaking opportunities in building automation. Our presentation featured SIMLAB’s comprehensive digitalization solutions, exemplifying how both our platforms, STAGES and SIM-ON, piqued significant interest among our engaged audience, seamlessly aligning with the event’s core themes.

The forum’s discussions encompassed two pivotal aspects: sustainability within the construction sector and the integration of artificial intelligence into construction processes. Our dual products, serving as a central hub for overseeing the entire lifecycle of properties, proved to be profoundly relevant to the subjects at hand. In this context, the utilization of Digital Twins optimizes not only the construction phase but also subsequent maintenance, ushering in advantages that span from the inception of a building to its ongoing management.

Thanks to an invitation extended by the president of KNX Tunisia, our presentation was focused on the realm of Digital Twins and their pivotal role in operating building automation systems. Michal Szopa, Product Owner of SIM-ON, covered the technical intricacies of seamlessly integrating the platform with the KNX environment and within BMS NETx Automation. Furthermore, Michal showcased a myriad of other functionalities geared towards enhancing building management, with Digital Twins firmly positioned at the heart of a contemporary approach to digitalizing buildings and fully harnessing the potential of the Internet of Things.

We would like to express our gratitude once again to Amin Messaoud, and the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for extending the invitation. We eagerly anticipate the prospect of exploring new business opportunities within the KNX professional network in this segment of the global building automation market.
